The event was followed by White Coat Ceremony & Charak Shapath

The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for medical students, and was created by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation in 1993. During the ceremony, a white coat is placed on each student’s shoulders and often the Hippocratic Oath is recited, signifying their entrance into the medical profession.
As per norms laid down by National Medical Council this year we replaced the Hippocratic Oath with Charak Shapath. At the ceremony, Dean and faculty members spoke of the responsibility that comes with donning a white coat. There is a sense of professionalism and purpose that we are now Inclined to feel whenever wearing one.
