CURRICULUM

Teaching methodology has been designed to inculcate conceptual and technical skills in students and is based on didactic lectures, seminars, group discussions, projects, experiments, assignments, group task, etc. Efforts will be made to impart education and training through a methodology of :

LECTURES:
Didactic lectures will be delivered by experienced faculty to give overview of different systems to large group.

TEACHING AIDS:
Modern scientific teaching is practically impossible without newer gazettes. Viz., over head projectsors (OHP), LCD projectors, computer and internet, power point presentations, videos, CDs, e-learning, m-learning etc. Our faculty will be using as and when necessary these facilities liberally.

GROUP DISCUSSIONS:
These will be held in batches of 6-10 students, with faculty as a facilitator for clarifying difficulties, sharing knowledge with fellow teachers.

INTEGRATED TEACHING:
An emphasis on horizontal integration in I and II professionals followed by vertical integration as and when required will be provided. Specialized faculty with learning friendly environment will be allocated for integrated teaching from Dept. of MET in the time table in every semester.

SELF DIRECTED LEARNING (SDL)

These will include assignments, write ups, reciprocal peer teaching to motivate independent learning.

LABORATORY PRACTICALS:

As per prescribed syllabus psychomotor skills, ability to observe, verify and analyze data, for verification of scientific statements and to reach to logical conclusions.

TESTS AND VIVA-VOICE: 
Regular written/practicals/viva-voice tests will be taken for periodic assessment and reinforcement.

QUIZZES/PUZZLES: 
Will be organized quarterly, learn with fun, as a part of edutainment.

PROBLEM BASED SOLVING/LEARNING:
PBL will be introduced in batches of 6-10 with an expert facilitator under guidance of Dept of MET.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
To ensure that students are not only professionally good doctors, but also have humane touch PPD classes will be conducted by Dept of  MET on professional ethics and doctor-patient relationship, communication skills etc.
